Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood

I just finished this two days ago. I'm not even a big fan of the original and it was awesome. The soundtracks really good too.

I never saw this, but I actually enjoyed the original series quite a lot. I just thought that brotherhood was going to be kind of cheesy

Isn't it just a near-identical remake that supposedly sticks to the manga?

No, the original anime only sticks with the manga's plot for the first 13 or so episodes, then they branch off in completely different directions.

If anything this is much less cheesy then the original.
